Feeling Stuck? Break Free from Inertia

Tamas, or inertia, is the lowest yogic mental state or guna. It is a state of mind that creates lethargy and lack of motivation. Unlike laziness, which is a physical quality, Tamas is a state of mind that affects professionals, entrepreneurs, and anyone else who needs to stay motivated and driven in their careers.

When someone is in a Tamasik state, they may feel lethargic, unmotivated, and unable to focus. They may feel stuck in their career or unable to move forward with their goals. This state of mind can be detrimental to a person's career and can lead to missed opportunities and a lack of success.

The good news is that it is possible to overcome Tamas and develop a more motivated mindset. Here are some ideas to help professionals who feel Tamas:

  1. Start small: One of the reasons why people may feel Tamas is that they are overwhelmed by the tasks they need to accomplish. Starting small and breaking tasks down into smaller, manageable chunks can make them feel more achievable and less daunting.

  2. Prioritize self-care: Professionals often put their work before their well-being, but this can lead to burnout and a lack of motivation. Prioritizing self-care, such as exercise, meditation, and time with loved ones, can help professionals feel more energized and motivated.

  3. Create a routine: Establishing a routine can help professionals stay on track and develop good habits. Whether it's waking up at the same time every day or scheduling time for tasks, having a routine can help professionals feel more in control and motivated.

  4. Find inspiration: Reading motivational books, listening to podcasts, or attending seminars can help professionals find inspiration and develop a more motivated mindset. Hearing stories of successful individuals or learning new skills can help professionals feel more confident and driven.

  5. Set goals: Setting goals can give professionals a clear sense of direction and purpose. By setting achievable goals and working towards them, professionals can feel more motivated and energized.

By starting small, prioritizing self-care, creating a routine, finding inspiration, and setting goals, professionals can overcome inertia and develop a more motivated mindset. By doing so, they can achieve their goals and thrive in their careers.
